Oh that's nothing...

Now, if I started talking about a 1" crotch strap accented with a lovely Victorian lace, THAT would be disturbing! :11:

OK Boogie....
You're starting to freak me out here......

Recently in 6-8 foot seas I was very happy that I had my crotch strap on while diving al80's. The force of the water might (and did with me) pull my rig up and if that crotch strap wasn't there, I may not have been pulled with my BP/W. It wouldn't have killed me, and I probably had too much air in my BC to add to the problem, but in chaotic conditions I can feel that crotch strap stabalizing my rig.

My choice is 2 inches but I have never used a 1 inch strap. I fear the thong problem too with a one inch strap but many will say they don't feel it and are happy with it.

when i made my harness i used the left over webbing which was 2 inches and made my own crotchstrap. i used 2 d rings, one serrated and one non serrated tri glide and a stainless steel bolt-washer-and nut. my material is fairly stiff and i dont really notice it. i really dont have much use for the scooter ring up front, and i feel that the ring in the back is almost a must. clipping stuff to the back really helps to streamline my rig.
