Quick question. For the BP/W users out there, when you are on a multi-day dive trip do you take your wing off your BP after each day of diving or do you just leave the wing attached?
I ask because I was on a recent trip and left mine together and noticed a little corrosion on the grommets of the wing, STA and BP. It's not a huge amount so not a big deal, but for future reference. I'm wondering if it would have prevented it if I had taken it apart each day. Oh, I did rinse the gear with fresh water after each day.
Thanks.

Any where you have dissimilar metals in contact you have the potential for corrosion. You have in essence a battery. The grommets in your wing are likely nickel plated brass, the back plate stainless etc.

Tobin,

Thanks for the info....so it sounds like the longer the metals are in contact, the more corrosion that will appear. I guess I will start taking apart my BP/W at the end of each day. Thanks.
