I did a couple of quick searches, but didn't locate information.

Penny and I are coming down Aug 1-8, and looking for an Inn, motel, hotel, townhouse or other that might be diver-friendly. Probably looking for something on the inexpensive side in the Boyton Beach - Ft Lauderdale region. It could be a "dive" for all we care, as long as it's safe and clean. :)

What have you used before, and what do you like?

Thanks for your recommendations!

Bob

I recommend the Sea Echo in Lauderdale By The Sea. They have very reasonable rates, and most of the rooms are efficiencies. They get tons of divers that stay there, so no problem having your gear draped all over the sundeck to dry! Right across the street is beach access that is a nice shore dive...very popular with us locals. (954) 776-5803 ask for Betty.

If she is full, the Sea Cliffs next door is also nice...Betty will give you info. I saw on a recent post some places recommended up in Delray, but I am not personally familiar with them.

Welcome to The Scuba Club, America's Only Country Club For Scuba Divers in West Palm Beach, FL They have a loft you can rent, docking, boat on premise, pools on premise, full rental gear, grills and decent area to visit, downtown west palm is just south of the shop and palm beach island is about a 5 min drive, one of the managers lives in a house right next to it overlooking the lot so usually someone is Kinda there btu it is pretty much private at night. all the staff and boat captains dive the area frequently (almost daily) and they have instruction so you can add certifications there if you like. Outa-towners can get memberships for cheap so you can figure out the pricing for everything at regular and member rates depending on what you may rent and prices are on the site. The staff is also pretty diverse from oldschool styles to some being obcessed with the cutting edge of everything. I live in the area so havent stayed there but use it as my LDS. There is also a few places that were in http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/florida-conch-divers/292958-question-about-florida-diving.html
