Anyway... once we got on the wreck, the current was no problem at all. It was just a little work swimming into it to get there.

What I liked about the Monitor was the connection to history I'd learned in grade school. We did not do a hot drop but descended on a line. As we got closer the unmistakable shape of the bow came into view. I still get chills - 14 years later - thinking about it.It was!
But, we dived the E M Clark the next day and it was SO much better of a wreck to dive! I'm okay with it if I don't ever get to dive the Monitor again. But, I would go back to the Clark tomorrow and every day for a week. At least! It was my favorite wreck to dive ever!
