On SB I have heard reasons against getting a bungee'd bladder. However, I haven't heard anything on bottom dumps in the bladder. Comments and suggestions?

FWIW, I do mostly OW dives and only dive singles. Typically the water is cold, so I dive a drysuit or a 7mm two-piece wetsuit.

Don't most wings comes with a bottom dump?

I use my rear dump constantly in doubles, but not as much when single tank diving. Still, it's nice to have an option for wing venting if you are head down.

Rarely use one. Arms crossed right hand for shoulder dumping. Very good when wedged somewhere or in other stupid angled situations. Technically should have 2.

With my wing or Avid jacket I vent almost exclusively with my butt dump. Mine is mainly single cylinder cold water diving.

I find the reach to the pull much more natural that working the inflator hose. I have come to prefer a left side butt dump. This lets me manage all buoyancy with 1 hand leaving the other free to handle a light or other task.

I don't know, but my cavern instructor glued his bottom dump shut to "prevent failure." I just wanted to know what others do and why.

Must have had a bad bottom dump experience growing up that scarred him for life!

:) Yup - the phrase "bottom dump valve" will give us hours of fun...

I use my top dump when leaving the surface and my bottom dump for alot of everything else :D

I personally think it is important to have more than one option for venting a wing or BC, and one that can be used if the diver gets into a feet-up ascent situation, as can happen with drysuits. I have heard of the pull strings or toggles getting caught in something and reducing the wing's ability to hold gas (happened to a friend of mine last week) and I have also heard of the cap coming off when the diver goes to vent (happened to another friend of mine a while back). But I'm willing to take those risks for the benefit of being able to vent in any position.

As far as your cavern instructor, there are people who do very different risk assessments. I have heard of one instructor who has removed the dump valve on his drysuit to improve streamlining, and he vents the suit through his seals. I'm just not willing to go that far.
