Great thanks! Bonaire here we come.... i heard this red eye flight from Newark is full of scuba divers!

Must be quite a sight.

Essentially the only reason anyone visits Bonaire is scuba diving. There is windsurfing on Lac Bay and an annual sailing regatta, but those are minor draws compared with diving. I would be surprised if a single person on your plane was headed there for any reason other than diving.

Enjoy!

Does anyone here carry regulator without its circular casing. ...?

Like just carry it in a Pullman or hand luggage?

I tried fitting it in its circular casing and closed zipper. The bc line is pretty bent up.

I think I'll carry the reg in a Pullman since its deeper compartment and doesn't fold. Any thoughts? :D

I wouldn't just stick them in a Pullman without the carry bag since their weight will tend to make them shift around in the space and maybe bend the hoses even worse. Here's how I pack a reg bag: Hold the regs by the first stage in the palm of one hand. Loop the hoses from the second stages around and grasp their hoses in the same hand as the first stage so that the second stages are more or less in line with the first stage at the bottom of the loop. then loop the LPI and SPG hoses in the opposite direction. The whole thing should fit in the circular case and zip nicely. Here's a photo of a looped set in a carry bag.

I love wearing socks. The protect my pretty red toenails while I'm diving, and cut down on the chafing. They also make putting a wetsuit on a little easier, as do plastic bags, even for the hands. :)

My regulator/computer set is very difficult to fit in the reg bag (in fact, I noticed one of the hoses was cracked in exactly the pattern it was stressed by in the bag) so my last trip I wrapped it in my wet suit and padded it with other items in my carry one. Seemed to work well...
