I just finished another scuba book. Its called Beating The Bends by Alex Brylske. He is the technical editor for Dive Training magazine.

I thought it was a well written book aimed towards recreational divers. He has a new acronym for SCUBA, Some Come Up Bubbling Alot, and he explains why that is. He gives some history as to where the tables came from and how they were developed, and where the 60 FPM ascent rate came from. To me it was a fairly easy read. A good deal of what I read I had seen on the boards, but it was nice to see a little more explaination.

He does get into dive computers and prefers computer assisted diving over computer dependant diving.

He is so much easier to read than Weinke.

Its not a long book, 115 pps, but full of what I thought was good information in an easy to read format.
