Hello:

I have a Bonica HD video camera that creates mov format files. I am a PC user. The movies come up great if I hook it directly to my TV, but I really want to make DVDs on my PC.

Some of the trial version software that I have used does not translate the mov files well.

Can anyone advise me as to what video software I should be using for this mov format with a PC with windows?

Thanks.

all the decent software will take the files... check out Pinnacle Ultimate v.12 and Vegas (don't know the current version number). You need to get software made for HD, also you need to have a good enough PC to run the software and video files as HD files are very large. It might be that you are using insufficient software or that your PC isn't up to speed.

I have the same camera and have the same problem. To view on my computer I had to down load quick time player Apple - QuickTime - Download
I also think there is a problem with vista, when I watch on the computer with vista the video is pixeled but if watching it on a different computer using XP no issues. I am still looking for something to convert the mov formant so I too can make DVDs. Good luck I hope there is an answer out there.

Download Super @, it converts just about anything to anything. I know it works with .mov files because I've done it.

btw, clicking on the download option off the website menu takes you thru a series of webpages with ads to purchase AVG products as well as info the author evidently wants you to read. To bypass it all, try clicking on this link, often it takes you to another page with yet another link to download Super (usually near the bottom of the page). What you're looking for is this link:

Download SUPER © setup file from our dedicated server.

Worth the effort though, it works...and did I mention it's free!
