I haven’t done near the research that @stuartv has but I think those three brands are the dominant choices in the US.

@LandonL is a dealer for Genesis and Seacraft. He handed his Seacraft Future 1000 off to me for a dive and it was a gigantic leap in design, manufacturing and performance over my BlackTip. Me likey.

I intend to try a Genesis 3.2 in the next few months. I’m attracted to the utilitarian nature of Jon Nellis’ design and the user flexibility to change batteries.

I got to fiddle with some SUEXs at Extreme Exposure. Kyle (manager) informed me they had some USG contracts. Of course I had to verify the contracts while at work. Giddy up, all the right teams are using them. That EE provides service is pretty convenient since it’s just up the interstate for me.

Looking forward to continuing my casual research and pulling the trigger on some meaningful range in 2025.

Fun stuff!
I have a SUEX. It may not be as advanced as Genesis or Seacraft, but it works well and does everything that I need it to do. However, I'll check out Seacraft GO! in a few weeks. BT, is an okay scooter, but there are better choices out there.

Been driving a Suex for over 8 years now. Had an Xjoy 37 and upgraded to an XJ-S in 2021. Both have been rock solid. Reefs, wrecks, caves, off boats and beaches.

IMHO for such a large item local service is a big deal. This isn't a reg that you can just throw in a medium flat rate box. My BT, without batteries, cost $160 to ship for service.

Also D3 Diving, in Newberry, can do almost anything that the factory can do. And has most of the parts in stock.

Or you could go with a scooter which literally does not have a scheduled service interval and batteries are user replaceable (Genesis).
Genesis is tops, but it is also $$$.

@Manatee Diver and I scored deals on SUEX in Cave Country, so the decision was easy. My second DPV is likely to be a Genesis though.

I've got zero complaints on my xk`1 or wifes xj37. I think they're 8-9 years old and batteries are strong.

The owner of D3 is Suex's US distributor, or was. But last time I googled D3 they were permanently closed

Problem is we have 2 sources of repairs on Suex in Florida. If something major happens to a genesis I have to ship it back. But I do like the Genesis. I haven't dove the newest version yet because I don't want to spend the money. My current scooter is fine but I know if I try a newer scoot I'm going to buy

Best deal in cave country is EE's used scooters. I think that's where Manatee got his, therefore you as well?

Not at EE. Once I learned that the new model was out, I inquired about the old stock. I know how much EE charged for the used DPVs, and I paid slightly more for a brand new one.

SUEX will be just as expensive (if not more) to own as Genesis if you account for depreciation, battery replacement costs. However, Genesis $9K price tag up front bites; hence, the SUEX.

They are open, I talked to them a few weeks ago but they are more appointment only.

I just work through one of the local shops, Casey is up in High Springs doing deliveries regularly.

Mine is former EE #2.
