Does Delfins have a good onsite dive shop and house reef? Our 10 & 11 yos are going to get certified and everyone always seems to rec Buddy's for kids but Delfins looks so much nicer.
Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, they have a great dive op on site (Dive Friends). I've stayed at Buddy's as well. Great operation for diving and families, etc., but not nearly as "nice" as Delfin's. If you want better topside amenities, Delfin's is the winner on that.

yes, i saw them all on the map. by ‘walkability,’ i meant sidewalks and other hazards along the way. some places you have to alk in the street (eg belize)
Sometimes there are advantages to being away from the center of town.
My wife and I have enjoyed our many stays at the Belmar Apartments, Just south of the airport.

Nice pool and 3-floor layout, dive tanks and rinse station on site. Helpful staff.
There are only a few restaurants in walking distance (Sorry no sidewalks)

Big advantage we don't get caught is the town’s traffic especially on cruise ship days.
On those days we do most of our diving at the southern dive sites
