Hi, all!

Just returned from a week in Bonaire. The trip and the people were incredible. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Unfortunately on a dive at the 18th Palm dive site, I had a lanyard break on my dive camera. Didn't realize it was gone until I was climbing back into the boat. One of my dive buddies said that he saw it fall neat the surface buoy, but he couldn't find it to retrieve it.

If you happen to go to the area on a dive and stumble across a GoPro camera attached to a monopod, I would really appreciate it if you could contact me. The last information I had on it was that it fell somewhere near to concrete markers near the surface buoy.
To be honest, I am not hardly interested in the camera as much I am wishing for the memory card. This was the first time really using the camera, and the video on it is my among my buddies first dives.

Yes, I realize its a long shot, but I didn't figure I had to much to lose asking!!

I originally posted this on the tripadvisor forum, and one of the members there suggested placing it on this site as well. Apologies if I have placed it in the wrong spot. I didn't realize this site existed!

Welcome Madison and sorry you had to find SB the hard way. You may also want to cross post on Bonaire Talk (another site) and check out Bonaire FaceBook pages (Bonaire, Bonaire Reporter) as ways to spread the word. SB does have a Lost and Found section as well and I believe several items have been returned.

Who were you diving with? Contact Toucan Divers at the Plaza Resort if it wasn't them since that's their house reef so someone may have already found it.

We also have a Bonaire specific forum so I've moved this post there.

And a Lost & Found forum but it's not overly active. Lost, Found and Stolen

Thanks, all!

I'll see if I can get in touch with Toucan Divers. I was down the street at Divi Flamingo. First trip to the island, so I've had a hard time trying to figure out who to contact. Our next two dive boats went back to the site, but they never found anything. I'm afraid it went a little deeper than what everyone may have thought.

I do appreciate the help in getting the word out.

Thanks again, everyone.
