LOL, thanks for the info Debbie! My mistake :)

I gotcha covered!

Can you IMAGINE the grief we'd all experience if Ken actually showed up in O CAL (which he generally despises) to do a beach dive (which he generally hates) and then we weren't there??? Oh my. It wouldn't be good....

Whoops, we've hijacked the boat diving thread.... sorry! It is ironic though.... Ken really prefers boat dives. And lately... don't we all? ;-)

divebuddysean:
Ken you haven't been to an event in probably 1 year. Ana has only missed a few and she's comming this Sunday.... are you?

The weapon of the witty.

Jim,

When I got recert a little over 2.5 years ago, I asked around for dive boats and dive companies that were reliable. I was told the following: The Encore and the Great Escape. A dive operation that was affiliated with both: Reefseekers. Even though I live in OC, I was able to call, and book trips with Reefseekers over the phone. Reefseekers will either pair you up with a buddy; have a DM lead you on your dives; or you can sign a waiver to dive solo. They are very safety conscious. I have dove on Sport Chalet charters primarily the Cee Ray, but only a few, for I have a far better experience with Reefseekers. If you are uncertain, as for a DM lead.

catalina has a number of great dive spots that are under 60 feet, Some of my favorites are typically under 40'. Hen rock is great and full of life. I came within 3 feet of a giant Black Sea Bass there, I could have touched him. Bird rock in front to Twin Harbors is an amazing place. I'm lucky enough to have my own boat and get to tuck into some cool little coves all along the west end which I love. Summer is coming and I will be getting the mighty "Endorfin" :) back into action. Hopefully I'll run into some of you guys soon.
