ain't that the truth..right where his boat is we put a sign saying go diving...if he's gone you'll be able to read the sign...

so is there any way to tell 10 days in advance what condidtions will be like, even a rough guess? i'm thinking of planning a boat dive for the weekend of the 16th, but don't want to if the waves will be as big as they are going to be this weekend..

I Cancelled to the boat trip and the AOW class will most likely do the same. I gotta get wet this weekend so my wife and I are doing a beach dive at McAbee on Sunday instead.

Followed by a hearty lunch at Gianni's pizza and another visit to the Baby shark. :)

Chuck, thanks for all the info it saved me a couple hundred bucks.

Man, this staying dry thing bites. 2 more new toys to play with and big, ugly water forecast.

In addition to Chuck's excellent website, and advice on how to make sense of all those numbers, don't miss the McAbee webcam. http://www.lesjackson.com/mcabee.htm It's just one beach, but if you're planning on beach diving, or want a general idea of Monterey weather, it's great. I just bothered to look, and I think the forecast LIED. :(

The Escapade took us DIR divers to Ballbuster last Saturday. Way cool. Now I know what Chuck's been raving about. Just don't expect much bottom time if using the boat's lp 80's as I did. It's pretty deep. That was a minor bummer, though I out-aired my buddies who used HP 100's :) Still might inspire one to put together a set of doubles ;)

Man you scored! Last weekend looked awesome. Who was your DIR F instructor? I've been looking to book a class after the 1st of the year.
