N00b diver here.
I have a boat.
I have equipment.
I want to dive.
All my dive buddies are busy Saturday. :11:

So if I can find a few divers that want to go diving this Saturday August 5th, that would be super cool.

The boat is an ex Canadian Coast Guard boat, 42' long. I have had 11 (non diving) people on it without being crowded. The most divers I have had was 4. It wasnt too crowded with gear, I could prolly do 6 and still have room. Also, with all that space, you could bring your non-diving S.O. if you like. She only goes 7kts, so the range is somewhat limited. :) She is in Beverly Ma.

So if you want to go for a boat dive Saturday, BBQ up some burgers and enjoy the weather, PM me here and let me know.

Here's a photo of her:

Ooooh. Nice. Wish I could join you.

Man, how quick can I get a flight from Alabama to Boston.

Busy this saturday, but any other time I would love to join you

I am busy too... cookouts/BBQ etc... but i would be interested in any future trips. I also live right in the area as well.. I pretty much could walk to the boat with my gear.

so,
we had two GREAT dive days!

Turns out that Dan (DannyD) had a run in with a couple of lobsters, he may be able to turn this into something. Maybe a Discovery Channel sort o' thing.

"Hi, this is DannyD. In the cold Atlantic waters off the coast of New England they hunt a man eater that the locals call "bugs". But as sure as a swarm of bees (also bugs) can kill, so can a swarm of lobsters. From the start of recorded lobster history until 2005 there were no recorded lobster attacks on humans, then in 2006 there was an alarming increase to 1. *I* was that one. One 8lb lobster, or "bug" had me by the foot while a 2 lb lobster had me by the finger, it was scarey. For minuets after the attack my hand hurt, and my foot had a scratch that took HOURS to go away!

To study these man eating creatures I will take a "shark cage" used to study the less dangerous great white shark, and strengthen it, thus turning it into a "lobster cage". I will be lowered into the cold Atlantic waters to study these man eaters. Dont miss it this week on Discovery Channels "Lobster Week" "

Man I cant WAIT! Maybe they will interview ME! I saw the whole thing. We found this big 8 lb lobster, it was over size (of course) we we put it down. Dan didnt see it and turned his back on it, he sees a smaller one, so he goes for the smaller lobster. The man easter grabs hiis ankle! Dan is alarmed and looks at his ankle, now the little one grabs his finger! OH MY GOD DAN! LOOK OUT! THEY'RE SWARMING! :11:

So Dan starts shaking his leg to get rid of one, his finger to get rid of the other, man, I thought that I was a goner for sure. I was certain that I was going to drown at 40' from laughing at Dan's dance.

Thanks again Paul for two GREAT days of diving and your hospitality. I look forward to seeing you aboard the Clowntown again. If only we had a camera to catch "Dancing Dan" in action
