We also did the bridge last night. It's hard to tell the vis in the dark but most of the time it was great! Force E said divers reported 40 feet on the morning dive, and in places it might have been that. It was well past my lights.
Vis was knocked down a lot in areas by a couple of careless divers, one at least who was taking photos. I was on the upside down wreck using my GoPro when a wall of silt washed over me followed by two divers, one taking pictures. We left the area to get back to clean water.
We saw a lot of Horseshoe Crabs, Sea Robins, a Barracuda, a Flying Gunnard, tons of various crabs, a couple of eels, and the normal critters. I got to see a Star Grazer grab a fish and dive back under the sand, but I wasn't able to turn my GroPro back on fast enough to catch the action - darn!
The temperature was 77 by my computer, the coolest yet for the bridge that we've seen. And it poured just as we were getting in but that didn't cause any problems. I was told after the dive that the winds kicked up hard while we were under water and there were 3 foot waves for a while on the surface. It was still windy when we got out which made us cool down quick so we hurriedly got things back into the car.
Very good dive. Thanks to Force E for sponsoring it!
