distraction

These guys distracted me and led me to the lone froggy.

Not real impressed with the human race today. . .

So sorry about your camera, Kevin. We all mourn when a housing floods or a clip becomes unclipped. But to have it stolen whilst underwater is just downright shameful.

A real troll would never mess with anyone's stuff. Please don't give up your troll card.

That sucks.
I have stopped leaving my video running on a shy subject and kiting off to look for the next star when I caught some kid snorkeling down to "borrow" it:no:.
Post a description and we may see someone with it.
At least now you can focus on mastery of one camera though I will miss DSLR reef.....

Any tips on diving the east side of the bridge?I've been to the bridge a couple of times but I'm a new diver & still learning the area. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Here's some good info.... Blue Heron Bridge but make sure you check the tide tables directly on the NOAA website: the link on this site is dated and not accurate.

Thanks, John. Rebel XTi and Ikelite housing. Tokina 10-17. Interestingly, I *had* been pointing interesting finds out to snorkelers just before it "disappeared".

No idea about the tongue on this guy. . .

crawdad?

The hole these things live in look an awful lot like the holes that the jawfish make. And, they *really* don't seem to want their pitchers took.

Don't see anything like it in the Reef Creature book, but Google Images makes me wonder if it is just a regular old freshwater crayfish. I've only ever seen them in very shallow water (and only for brief glimpses). I've been told that the nasty top few feet of water this week at the bridge has been that way because it is possibly fresh water. Wonder if the top few feet of water in the lagoon is always fresh. . .
