Almost has the shape of a cornetfish...Some pics from a couple weeks ago.
While touring Sunday with Kevin and my super spotter I noticed a Juvenile trumpetfish had adopted my housing arms.
He was very small and would hover under anything you moved near him.
I pushed him off first on Kelly and then Kevin to get some distance for video but he kept coming back and stayed under by me for the whole dive.
Another first at the bridge! I have never been adopted in this fashion.
Plus a new strategy: stay too close to photograph/video!

He doesn't really blend with my color board but that didn't stop him trying!
anychance of telling us exactly where the lionfish was? the collectors will want to know.. and the killers!!! If I could be up there this week, I would be a huntin' it...Another 2+ hours today. Vis was great - although I have limited exposure to the bridge, it was definitely the best vis I've seen there. Sheriff was issuing a ticket to a diver that strayed too far from his anchored dive flag as we exited . Wonder how many tickets he has issued to boaters that violated a dive flag zone... Guess I'll be sure to drag mine where ever I go from here out.
Had fun with a bumble bee shrimp. Saw another diver/photog flipping urchins and that reminded me of photos and discussion I've seen here. Found one on about the first urchin I flipped, but had to stick around with him quite a while to get the right angles. Dodgy little buggers.
Be there again tomorrow...
