OMG!!!!!! I almost got run over by a fast moving manatee! Seriously! I could of touched it with my outstretched hand. Had originally mistook it for my buddy. My head was turned, and when I turned back, i thought my buddy was cutting me off for some reason. I put my hand up to stop me from running into it, before I realized it was a manatee!!

Same thing happened to me a few months back! They fly through the area moving far faster than you realize they can move. Always a fun sight!

Omg I have been there quite a few times & have never been lucky enough to spot a manatee - I had no idea they were frequent visitors that close to shore! Headed back down next month and will be crossing my fingers!!!
