Is there still a shop on site at the bridge?

It has been a couple of years since we got to dive there, and now we will be back late August.

Or is Force E/Pura Vida the place to go to rent tanks?

That's a BIG nurse shark for the snorkel Trail !!!

Monday Aug 11th is the first day of School for most of Florida. Parking / crowds should dramatically slow on weekdays. Thanks for the conditions report.
We are waiting for Aug 20th to see if our favorite Euro model is correct and we get an Atlantic side passing hurricane. There's no sure bets,,,just wait & track.

Would be sweet if it's around next week, too!

I've got tentative plans to come down and dive the bridge Tuesday and Friday. Hoping with the back-to-school timeframe, the parking lots are dramatically emptier than they usually are

From a FB post...

"The Parks Dept. was made aware of a speared Goliath Grouper swimming around BHB. They’re asking if anyone spots the fish to get as much information as possible about the general location. They are also asking for any photos you may have. If you can help with any of this, please get in touch with Shana Phelan at Pura Vida Divers (561-840-8750)."

Went to the bridge Wednesday August 6 for a night dive. Entered the water at 1840 exited the water at 2050. HT was 1916, stayed on the west side for the though dive. Vis was 30ft, got a high sea temp of 87f. Ran in @Scuba_Jenny underwater and chatted after the dive. Items in the video include but are not limited to Mushroom Scorpionfish, Juvenile Cowfish and Comb Jellyfish.

nice seeing you underwater, and the chat in the parking lot. Nice video!

Went to the Bridge yesterday and today. Both days the parking lot was pretty full an hour and a half before high tide, though today was worse, I suspect due to the later tide and it not raining in the morning. Water temp both days was 86F, and viz was probably 20ish feet yesterday, and between 5 and 15 feet today, depending on where you were (much worse out at the snorkeling trail).

I went to the east side yesterday and got a little disoriented ending up 6 docks to the north of the bridge. After a bit of a surface swim back I made my way over to the snorkel trail. Among the things I was able to get decent photos of yesterday were a 9-armed sea star, a peacock flounder, a yellowhead jawfish, a yellow garden eel, and a seaweed blenny.
