I do not have the stats to prove this, but IMO this is more related to surf than to season. If surf report tells you it is 2-3 ft you may try but it's not likely to be great, just an OK dive. And anything higher than that will suck.
This time of year, it seems that it is worst. Some years better than others, but overall I pretty much assume October is no diving at the bridge
On another note, years ago we used to meet up on the Saturday after Thanksgiving to dive and have a pot luck. This year high tide is 6:28 pm. I usually work on Saturdays, but would be game for a Sunday morning dive, high tide 7:10 am, and brekky/food stuffs/pot luck after. Any interest?
This may be the case. Anyways, looks like the best chance to dive under the bridge is on Tuesday when the forecast is 1-3 ft for Palm Beach, and before that I won't even bother.
I was about a mile and a half south of the bridge today. Vis was 3 feet at best, right at dead high tide. The water was brown. I didn't get a chance to make it all the way up to the bridge to see if conditions there were any better.
The spot I was in usually does get clean water at high tide, but today they must have had the spillways open full blast or something. Either that or the outside water was also muck.
BTW, are Lionfish gone? We haven't spotted a single one in 6 dives in Florida (3 under the bridge, 2 boat dives at Breakers, and a shore dive at erojacks). Has anyone noticed this?

Unfortunately not. I've been seeing quite a few in the 90ft depths along ledges, but not the ledges frequented by the dive ops. @Johnoly has some pics of a dozen LF on a stringer.
