DAN Basic Life Support For Professionals

What it is: The First Step toward becoming a Dive Emergency Specialist
• A full length course detailing professional level resuscitation techniques. Aimed at Divemasters, AI’s, Instructors, but any interested parties may attend.

• You will learn how to perform CPR for adults, children and infants, both one and two person techniques.

• You will also learn advanced skills including pharyngeal suctioning and how/when/why to apply cricoid pressure, and proper use of the Bag-Valve-Mask (Ambu bag)

• AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) use for adults and children will also be
covered.

• Anyone wishing to incorporate the Advanced Oxygen Provider course at the same time may do so for an additional fee (must have taken the Oxygen Provider First Aid within the previous 12 months)

Why Should I Take this Class?
• To increase skill and comfort in providing the highest level of basic life
support care, to all ages

Pre-requisites:
• None (please bring a clean pocket mask with you to class)
• If adding on Advanced O2 must have completed basic O2 within the
previous 12 months (bring Oxygen First Aid Provider card to class)

Cost: • $150.00 (includes books)
• add-on for AdvO2 $40 ( regularly $85)
