I try to always investigate the airline sites. I have found that the "Travel" sites seem to favor certain airlines and do not check all the carriers rates.

I see people talk about those and wonder how clean they really get them?

They're as clean as you wash them to be. Most pkg come with a cleaner brush.

I should say that the straws are not for me. They're for the niece. As an adult, I've found I prefer not using a straw.

Dandy, why are you still straw attached?

a personal call.
Many like using straws or there wouldn't be a strong demand vs. objections. I can't see carrying reusable straws, like how to carry without damage or contamination, then what after use - carry home to wash. Nah, those are going to fail.

Carrying my case if a pain, but nothing like carrying used straws home.

Your canister is pretty sturdy.

I solved the problem of contamination by having two canisters that aren't anywhere near as sturdy as yours, each of a different color. The clean ones are in the white holder and the dirty ones are in the blue holder.

Oh me like!! Where did you find this photo please.

I use these all the time and once carried them from Austin to Cozumel to Playa to Xcalak to Cancun to London and all over Europe and then back to Austin. They take up less space than a sock.

I'm still doing this over someone thinking it's more convenient to carry a pipe bomb all over the place rather than a reusable straw and brush.

This whole hysteria over straws is silly. It's a feel-good measure that has virtually zero impact on ocean garbage. Over 90% of which comes from Asia.

What harm is it? It diverts attention from things that would be far more effective. If you're really concerned about the environment, cancel your next dive trip. The emissions from the jet plane are worth a couple million straws.
