Today I did back to back classes in Blue Spring. The morning saw a pair of black bear getting a drink right by the head spring and there was an immature manatee in the run mid afternoon. Of course, there were Great Blue Herons, White Ibis, a hawk, Plecos, flounder, perch, bream, mullet, gar, bowfin, catfish, carp, and... well there was a lot of wildlife there today. If you walked down to the river, there were plenty of gators, a cool banded water snake, tilapia and the other critters as well.

What a FUN, FUN day!

SuPrBugMan saw Manatee today, too. I think he said Destin? Cool. Love those critters, especially the babies. Too cute. They are so sweet.

Sounds like you had an all-around-National Geographic-kind-of-day.

Yep, 6 or 7 off the beach in Destin :) First time seeing them in the Gulf. Jealous of the bears for sure though, would have been great camera material :D

Too cool! Looks like we've got another creature to start imitating on dive trips...
