6'7" ~260 lbs, about 48-50" chest
I have been using Henderson hyperstretch (not Titanium) which has been discontinued and replaced by thermoprene and microprene. Mine is very long especially crotch to neck. It is an older line from Henderson. The tag says XLL and since it stretches I can get away with XLT (I think this is the conversion - maybe they changed sizing designations). Other neoprene I go with 2 (or 3)XLT.
I only have 3mm as cold water diving is not in the plan.

I went shopping for a 7mm wetsuit the other day...actually was interested in a Henderson 8/7mm semi-dry. I tried on the 2xl and couldn't get it over my head and the ankles were so tight it took me 20 minutes to get it off (I was wearing a lycra skin, by the way). I'm 6'2" and weigh 210-215. Big feet, too. I also tried on a Hollis 2xl and couldn't get it on either. Looking online I havent seen any wet/dry options in say a 3xl tall.

I ran out of time befrore I could try other suits, but now I'm thinking a combo of hooded vest with 7mm wet suit. I will be diving in New England this summer and want to stay warm. Any suggestions? Budget is an issue.

I am 6'3, a bit chunkier than you with UK 12 feet (US 13/14). I found a Scubapro IR 7mm in 4XL was what I needed for length (I have a long body but relatively short legs). Also bought their overjacket (6.5mm) for if conditions are really cold although as yet I haven't needed it (8 deg C for about 40 mins with multiple dives per day)

I am 6' 1", 220. ScubaPro EverFlex XXL fits me perfectly.

That said, Waterproof brand are super nice. Others may be as nice, but I haven't seen any that are nicer. And Waterproof has about the biggest range of sizing options I have seen. If you look at their website for sizing, be aware that I think they actually have 3 different sizing charts - Normal, Tall and Plus sizes. My local shop has some Waterproof W7 suits, new old stock, on sale for something like $209. They may still have some bigger sizes that would fit you in stock, if you call them.

And then there's this, which I got in email today. Akona 7mm Quantum Stretch for $199.
