Hello -
My husband and I leave in a few weeks for a trip to Cozumel. We both love to snorkel but my 6'6" husband's 16W feet cause us some issues when it comes to fins. Last time he went bare foot which was ok but tough in rocky, coral areas. I'm wondering if wearing a dive boot/sock without fins would sufficiently protect his feet without hindering swim performance. There may be areas where we'll need to walk out over rocky/sand or coral so I'm looking at something similar to the Neosport 3MM low top pull on boot. Thoughts?

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately we've tried open heel. I ordered ScubaPro Jet Fins and Tilos Getaway fins. Both were not wide enough.
