Myself and three other divers went out into Boston Harbor w/ Jim and Pat to kick off their 2008 diving season. Cold, windy, drizzily and overcast day with the water temp hovering a hair above 40F. Viz at the dive site was maybe 5 feet, with a bit of chop and a decent current. Didn't matter though, as everyone had a great time diving for scallops. Dry suit kept me nice and warm. But, my fingers and around my mouth got cold by the end of the second dive(wet gloves and hood). Nice to get back into the water after shoulder surgery put me on the diving DL for most of last year.

Two thumbs up once again for the guys at BHDC. If you dive w/ these guys, you won't be dissapointed. I never have.

Glad you had a good time, excepting the weather. Hope to see you again soon. How were the scallops? P.

mmmmm... scallops.....

Good to hear you're already getting the goods, Jimmie.
(I did something stupid yesterday like ride a bike)

Youze guys are animals...animals I tell ya! lol....

40 degrees? with air temps around the same?

I guess the bold and the brave get to eat scallops.

Me, I just might take the cover off my boat this week, but it will probably be several weeks before I consider venturing out into the cold blue with the boat and not till water temps are well over 50 before jumping into it!

For me and Reefseal...just a little over 3 weeks to go to Bonaire for a week!

But I've been out with BDS before. Top notch guys!

So, where'd you go and how productive were the beds?

I know, it's a secret....I've got some of those myself.

Hey, if the weather bothered me, I wouldn't be diving in New England. My wife and I loved the scallops. I'll definitely be back at least a couple more times this year...I've got to make up for the lost year that was 2007. We'll see ya, Pat.
