This is just an awful situation to have happened. And I am sure 'they', the people at Sunset, knew their status was dire and yet they continued to accept reservations or did not contact clients to make other arrangements. Grrr.

They are the exclusive representative for Habitat Resort and Easy Divers in Rif Sint Marie. I know they have already assisted with about a dozen different groups with rooms and dive packages from this fiasco.

Although I have never thought of this scenario happening, we always advise folks to purchase Travel/Trip Interruption Insurance.

We hope everyone can find a workable solution under this black cloud. In an effort to try to help, Flamingo Villa has 4 nights available at the end of July, 27 - 31. We can sleep up to 7 people on the main level. The outside of the villa (windows & shutters), and the lower apartment is being painted at that time, so with that understanding, we could offer our villa at a very deep discount. Holy crap....sorry to those that got screwed in this. I could not imagine going through what you guys are. I seriously think my head would explode. I hope you at the very least recover ALL of your money. I know the missed vacation is terrible but to lose money on top of that?

Man I was shocked when I first read about this on Undercurrent.

I didn't know your travel agent was Dream Weaver. I know Steve Weaver of Weaver Dive & Travel and if there is anything that can be done to correct this situation from his end it will get done.

Sunset Waters - What a sham operation to continue to take money w/no intentions of fullfilling the contract.

I sincerely hope you paid with a credit card and purchased travel insurance.

SUNSET WATERS BEACH RESORT IN CURACAO HAS OFFICIALLY CLOSED FOR BUSINESS……………

FOR ALL RESERVATOINS PAID VIA CREDIT CARDS, PLS CONTACT YOUR CC COMPANY AND DISPUTE CHARGES.

PLS CONSIDER ALL FUTURE RESERVATIONS CANCELLED , PLS MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS.

MORE INFO WILL BE SENT WHEN ALL FINAL , A PRESS RELEASE WILL BE SENT.

WHOLESALERS PLS REMOVE SUNSET WATERS CURACAO FROM YOUR INVENTORY.
