Hi,

sorry if this is a stupid question. Just couldn't see specifics on tech specs.

'm a PADI enriched air certified diver and would like to inquire whether these 2 regulators can support Enriched Air tanks (eg. 32% - 36% Oxygen) ?

Thanks for answering in advance!
jim

In your PADI Enriched air course and in the documented in the manual was stated (page 7) "The common dive community' guideline is that scuba regulators, BCDs, SPGS and alternate air sources may be used with enriched air blends that have UP to 40% oxygen without modification.'

Unless there is something unusual about the Beuchat regs then they would be fine up to 40% Oxygen.

PADI Enriched Air also states that "some manufactures state that their equipment shouldn't be used with enriched air."

Taking a look at your owner's manual to get definite answer.

From the OPs comment it appears some review of manual/specs has been done "Just couldn't see specifics on tech specs". Hence the post with "Unless there is something unusual about the Beuchat regs then they would be fine up to 40% Oxygen". From my reviews of equipment it is rare to see a manufacturer say there standard reg is okay for Nitrox to 40%. They would prefer to sell the Nitrox version. Air is Nitrox, just a 21% blend, Scubapro do not give an upper limit on O2 for non-Nitrox regs, can they even do 21%? From a quick review, Beuchat are equally as silent on their non-Nitrox regs.

The dive industry seams to have adopted 40% as a safe limit for non-specialist/cleaned equipment. So unless clearly stated by the manufacturer then it can be assumed okay - in this case Beuchat do not state an issue.
