What is the best value divng in the Carribbean after the Keys and Cozumel? Flying out of Atlanta.

Can fly to the Caymans cheap but everything else is high. Bonaire has the shore diving but flights are high.

Some of you experienced travelers give me some advice.

How do you determine value?

If you look at it as cost per dive then Bonaire will be hard to beat.

Bonaire will cost me around $1,800 door to door from RDU (give or take $150) and I can do five dives a day - six if I do 4:30 am.

That cost equates to $1,800/25 = $72 per dive all inclusive!

Cocoview Resort, Roatan.... I think there are direct flights from Atlanta, too.
Welcome to CoCo View Resort
all-inclusive, 4 boat dives per day, unlimited shore diving 24/7, oceanfront room, great food, great boats and diving setup, wonderful staff... :D You never have to leave the resort all week, just eat dive eat dive... just like a liveaboard with more space to walk around.

For value per dive, it will be hard to beat Bonaire or Cocoview unless you go liveaboard.

From Atlanta, you should be able to get a cheap flight to Florida for a Bahamas liveaboard.

Pick the time THEN find the deal unless you have a very flexible travel schedule. I think you can visit Australia and New Zealand for 12 days for $1700 in 5 star hotels and that includes airfare. Add a few hundred for the diving and you have one hell of a vacation for about the price of a trip to the Caribbean.

Cheap for us is Boynton Beach FL. Cheap to get there, cheap to stay there, easy diving, plenty of critters to see and cheap diving.

Fantasy Island across the channel from CCV is cheaper isn't it? Three site boat dives a day, and they'll drop you and a tank off for a fourth if you want. Food is okay, everything else nice, AI includes beer & wine.

CoCoView just dropped this deal in my email....

DandyDon is likely correct, FIBR is prolly cheaper, but CCV draws consistent praise, not so much with FIBR. Depends on what you want to do with your $$$

Cool deal. Sounds like they worked out discounts with Delta. :thumb:

Probly vaies with selective listening. CCV obviously has a more organized pop-pom squad. :cheerleader: I'm sure both resorts are great.

I don't know anything at all about the resort, but as far as cheap goes - using October since a date was not mentioned, this is cheap - diving, lunch, dinners, beer extra $803 each including taxes on Orbitz. The 200entertain discount did not work, but a phone might make it work and take off $100 each...

Looking at Nov. 20 - 27, give or take a day.

2-3 dives a day would probably be more to our speed. Plus a night dive or 2.

Roatan has always been on our short list. As well as Bonaire and also have given Saba some consideration.

Thanks for the info.
