Best referral shop in Grand Cayman

My gfriend is considering the Open Water cert. She would do the book/pool work here then of course 4 checkout dives in Grand Cayman.

We will be staying at the Westin where they have an onsite Red Sail Sports. I recall from my first trip to GC in 1996 Red Sail was the most expensive. I dove with Bob Soto's but the appear to be closed now.

Can anyone recommend a good shop for diving as well as a referral cert?

hi Matt, I haven't dove on Grand Cayman but Bob Soto does still operate a shop on Cayman Brac: 'Reef Divers'. They do accept referrals. I did my Open Water there two years ago. Nice crew, good boats. Great vis.

Divetech would be a good choice. Dives will be from shore which means you can do them on your schedule not the boats. (Cheaper as well)

I work for Cayman Diving College in Grand Cayman. We offer classes for open water referrals. Our charge is $300.00 US & have courses starting a couple times a week. We will also pick you up from your hotel.
