Hello fellow divers!

I am a nudibranch enthusiast and would love to get opinions from fellow divers on locations in Asia that's best for nudibranchs? I have been to Anilao and Tulamben, and both locations were terrific, I would think Tulamben was slightly more interesting over Anilao for smaller, more obscure nudis. Lembeh Strait is another location I heard that is great for muck diving. Any other thoughts?

Thanks in advance!!

Romblon in Philippines.
A bit complicated getting there but not that difficult from HK.

Tulamben in Bali and Anilao in the Philippines are the best bang for buck to be honest.

Romblon in the Philippines whilst having a few "specials' doesn't have the same density of nudis compared to the Tulamben and Anilao.

Last March I photographed more nudi species in one day at Tulamben than the 10 days I was diving at Romblon.

Lembeh is pretty good for Nudibranchs, lots of the more common and a few rare types also. Romblon as others have said has a few rare types including Melibe Colmani, but not especially large populations of others.
@CWK has done a trip report of Semporna and has video and on the video shows a large variety of Nudis.

Milne Bay in Papua New Guinea is reported to be where the "muck diving" moniker was coined. True or not (and I think it is), there is certainly excellent nudibranch spotting to be had there.

Oh yes, years ago it was recommended to me by another diver I met on an LOB in Indonesia, he said it was incredible muck and Nudiranch heaven. During my research that seemed to be the prevailing option. I've never made the trip there for me it would be like 3 days travelling, I wanted to do it when The Chertan LOB would do a wide angle trip then a trip in Milne Bay. Now thati will be retiring I might start looking into that again.

M/v Oceania, which is one of two liveaboards now operating in PNG, does a rotation in Milne Bay. At the end of that period, she crosses back to New Britain and meanders along the south coast. Loads of slugs, and Oceania’s a fine vessel.

Second that - only place I've seen such huge nudibranches. And they are real plentiful. Plus not that many divers around there, more often than not you will have the divesite all to yourself.
