Folks, I really appreciate this post. My Cobra II AI console suffered a mishap last month, and I'm looking at exactly the same three options - UWATEC Luna, Oceanic VT4, or Suunto Vyper Air. Looking for an AI wrist-mounted computer.

Based on all of your input and research that I've done separately, I think I'm going with the UWATEC LUNA option as well.

One other comment. For night diving I've had good results with setting the Sol display to "light" mode--which results in very large numbers, and setting the backlight duration to push on/off. I just leave the backlight on for the duration of the night dive and no longer need to shine a light at the display.
