Hello,

Does anybody happen to know if tourists can rent tanks from a dive shop in Bermuda? I know there are some shops that will not rent gear to tourists for “solo” diving or diving without a guide.

Thanks in advance.

Hi - we've rented tanks before but we were residents. I'd contact Dive Bermuda and ask them. I know they used to run shore diving off elbow beach before.

Assume that you can. (I’m pretty sure that you can’t). How are you going to transport them? No car rentals for tourists. It’s a pity because there is some decent shore diving over there. I had a buddy that lived there and I dived with him for years. He had his own tanks and filled them at the BSAC compressor station.

Tourists can now rent electric cars. Two seaters but I'd think enough to transport dive gear.

Aha. I heard that may happen. Thanks for update.

So, did you call them? :)
