Actually the dive shop is not closed, Edwin is trying to sell it and Mac (Instructor) and Tom run it for the most part. If you need something its a good idea to call ahead to see if they will be there. Right now business is slow so they are not there as much, guarantee that as soon as it gets a bit warmer they will be open more often. They just did an open water cert this last weekend at Aquarena Springs.

Good to hear, it's nice to be able to get some air before leaving..:D

Let me know when you plan a trip there. I would love to take a dive there also.

Hey Matt,
I'll shout as soon as it's warm enough to get in the pool and we can set up the times I can't wait to get back out but the water needs to be at least 70 for me, what do you think?

I think you ought to go get that Science Diver cert. :D

Hey Mary, doin it this weekend :D
I was at the springs in the training area last Sunday morning (I know, I played hookey) and man there was a LOT of divers there, a group from Scubaland doin a cleanup I think.

I'll shout when Matt and I set up a dive at Lake Belton or Stillhouse and see if ya want to go!

One of these day I want to get to Aquarena Springs.
I'm turning in my gear tomorrow for all annual inspections so I will be ready once it warm a little. If it is warm enough for you Paul I will be there.

Congrats Paul! It's a great class and you'll love diving Spring Lake.

I've been to Stillhouse once with Willie. The 80F water on top was nice. The 66F thermocline at 29fsw was a lot daunting. But I probably ought to go once this year, in case I do the Dive Around Tx thing again.

Last year I made a few dives in Lake Belton. There is what is left of an old scuba park accessible at the old boat ramp in Morgan's Point (adjacent to the Morgan's Point pool). The best vis was maybe 6 to 8 ft. If anyone is interested in giving it a try, let me know. I live about 15 minutes from it.

We may just take you up on the offer, when Matt and I plan the dive we will give you a shout!
