I think it's ironic how this board pushes DIR, for it's safety in diving yet when it comes to purchasing a regulator they say to buy the most inexpensive thing you can find on-line.
Regulators are LIFE-SUPPORT equipment. Probably best to buy one from the person that will service it to Manufacturers specs.
Sherwood/Genesis ... have also been in the SCUBA industry for over 40 yrs. There is no doubt they build the best reg. on the market

Yes I've found myself in the same situation with scuba equipment as I've found in the past with stereo equip., camera equip, etc. Buy equipment to "get started" based on cost. End up unhappy and start replacing equipment as I figure out what I really want ...
