We had the tournament on Saturday 8-15-09 and the weather could not of been better. It was sunny with just enough wind to keep you from feeling too hot. The lake Vis was normal for this time of year with reports of 8-10 feet. Turnout was a little lower than I was wanting with 12 competitors but for a first tournament I think it was fine.
The tournament would not of been possible without the prizes donated by our sponsors.

This was the first time in quite a few years that a tournament was hosted on the lake and the overwhelming abundance of freshwater drum taken was a sign of that. We had a few striper's at the weigh in but no monster fish were taken this time.
Winners for the three categories were:
Gamefish:
1st place: Mike Mcguire "12.3 pound striper"
2nd place: Mike Ban "9.5 pound striper"
3rd place: Joe Graber "5.8 pound striper"
Catfish:
1st place: Keith Love "1.5 pound channel cat"
2nd place: Al Dickey ".5 pound flathead"
3rd place: No entry, prize money was raffled
Roughfish:
1st place: Mike Ban "18.4 freshwater drum"
2nd place: Mike Vanhale "15 pound freshwater drum:
3rd place: Don Hescut "13 pound freshwater drum"
Bigfish was awarded to Mike Ban for his 18.4 freshwater drum.
