I am taking a family vacation to this area in July. I am really wanting to bring my dive gear. We are staying on bear creek lake, just curious if anyone has ever done any diving in these mountain lake and what I will find?

What are their elevations?

Generally the lower the elevation the greener the water in my fishing experience.

Looks like bear creek is at about 2500 feet while glenvile is at 3500

OK we are leaving in a week and are staying on bear creek lake just outside of culowee,nc. Think I should bring dive gear? We are staying on the lake and bringing a boat. I was hoping for at least 10 foot Vis, and thinking I would need a full 5mil suit. Am I wasting my time? Surly I can find cool to look at?
