Lots of horseshoe crabs, it is their mating season, no swans, no local derelicts unless you count me but there were more then a few bottles down there to show that they had been there recently. Conditions there were not great according to some regulars I talked to but I thought it was fine so this must be a great spot when conditions are perfect.
Sounds like you had a good time. And thanks for the report on Limulus. I wasn't quite sure what the local population (crabs, not indigenous species) were doing post Sandy! I might need a few specimens from time to time for some invertebrate husbandry studies. When I've taken students here for their "ocean" dive the viz was never more than 10-15' feet on the best days. The ultra fine silt from the channel was always interesting too.
