Need help buying my stepdaughter a BC need some reccomendations she is a xsmall she said it doesnt really matter if weight intergrated or not she is new just got certified would like one to give her the secure feeling

How old is she ?
Custom Zeagle Zena would be my choice, if she is young and still growing all parts of the BCD can be swapped for various sizes as she grows.

Also a good priced womans BCD with great support.

Cheers

I know I'm going to get kicked for this, but I am a small woman (5'4" and 120 lbs and very narrow shoulders) and I had a hard time finding a BC that fit well enough to keep the tank stable on my back. I ended up in a BP/W because the harness was infinitely adjustable, and by crossing the straps in back, I could get a fit where nothing shifted, and I like that a lot.

Promise not to kick you, what kind of BP did you go with? I have found it difficult to find BP's that are short enough to fit shorter woman, they tend to sit too low and dig into the bum and just don't fit right.

Cheers

Two of the respondents are dead on. Make sure she is comfortable not matter what she has to use. That is probably the number one detail to keep her interested.

My GF (5.2") have been using this in samll size. Their price and quality is hard to beat.

For X-small size, check out this

You could also try the new Mares Kaila bcd. Designed for women by women. BCD starts at XXS - L. So far this bc has been very popular, comfortable, and secure for the girls.

Great to hear we've got a young enthusiast. I was certified at 14.

Good luck in your hunt.

You may want to consider a BP&W. Backplates are available in various sizes, including small. I've fit divers ~ 5 ft tall in a small back plate with good results.

A BP&W will allow easy adjustment of the harness as your daughter grows, and when / if she out grows the small plate she can keep the wing and move to a larger plate.

Too large a plate can be uncomfortable on smaller divers, and can interfer with their ability to arch their back.
