BCDs - what to buy.

I am ready to buy a BCD. I have only used rentals for diving and non of them have been back bladders. I like the wrap around bladder BCDs. However I can see the advantages of a back bladder. What to do, what to do. I would like others opionions about back bladder and wrap bladder BCDs before I make my purchase.
So which one do you folk is best?

There are pages and pages of posts here concerning the ongoing, never ending battle of which BC to buy. Do a search on BC and do some reading, then ask some specific questions once you know the issues.

I suggest you read through this forum. Your question is too broad to get a specific answer, especially when everyone has their own opinions and reason for them concerning the pros and cons of back vs wrap bladders.

The first BCD I bought was a back inflated unit. I liked it a lot and found it great for getting to the right position UW. Since than I have changed to the Dive Rite Transpac II with the Rec wing, which is more Technical (and I do not want to getinto the argument of how much so).

I like the back inflated idea and don't think it poses any problem for new diver. The opposite might be more true -- If you are not used to any specific BCD, you might not feel any problem of getting used to the back inflated concept.
