its at the bottom on the left side. i can see the inflator and deflator, but what about needing it at the highest point, thus being able to lift it over your head?

how does it work?

hmmm...

to what is the inflator hose connected and where?

a picture would really help

that's the only picture i have... maybe i can find a larger one. it looks like the hose runs to the back where it would connect to the first stage. i'm sure a dump valve on the shoulder could work, too, but is this better? advantages?

hmmm... i don't see a picture

while I cannot see the pic you have linked, from your description it sounds like it uses a side mounted inflate/deflate mechanism and a pneumatic dump valve system

is it this?

then, yes it is using a pneumatic valve system that can be operated in any direction or orientation and it will inflate or dump without problems -- no need to lift over your head to dump gas
