BCD knife mounts

I see many brands of BCDs with mounting grommets, and many knives with screws for BCD mounting, my question is this: Are the screw and grommet spacing universal, or do I need to buy the specific knife for my BC? I have a Sea Quest Balance. Thanks!

The Wenoka / Deep See squeeze locks will go right into the holes already in your BCD. I have a Balance as well, and the smaller stainless knife mounted there.
