I'm in the process of buying my gear. At this point, I have a reg and computer, but not a BCD. I'm looking to get a BCD soon, and will be using a rental BCD in the interim.

When I bought my reg/computer, I noticed that I didn't get a hose that connects to the inflator for a BCD. (Makes sense, of course...but when I'd rented gear before, the inflator hose has been attached to the reg, so I hadn't thought of that.) My LDS said that the hose typically was sold with the BCD and installed to the reg then. (Being caught in the moment of having just bought a bunch of new gear, I didn't pursue that further.)

So here's my (dumb, or easy) question: Can I buy that low-pressure inflator hose (from the first-stage to the BCD inflator) separately from the BCD, at least until I buy a BCD? Is that hose standard among BCDs, or model specific?

Thanks!

Yes you can buy an inflator hose separate from your bc. Your LDS should have them in stock and in different sizes.
