I bought an oceanic kevlar bioflex bc a while back and recently the inflator valve began to leak a little - small bubbles coming through the oral inflator. It's not enough to end a dive, but enough to make me want to fix it. Now, I wouldn't attempt to do any maintenance that is beyond my knowledge, but does anyone have any experience with fixing these? Is it owner-servicable or should i take it to an lds?

I just bought a used bc and it was leaking around the dump valve. I simply took it apart and cleaned abunch of sand that was in there and it stopped leaking. but your oral inflator looks alittle more complicated at least mine dose. I would never fool around with my new equipment tho. thats why i bought some used stuff just to tinker around with it. before i would take your BC to and LDS I would get a high pressure air hose and while holding your oral inflator open blow some air into it. hopefuly you can blow some trash out of your seat. if your leak stops great, then clean your BC out with water. if it dosnt take it to your LDS. thats my two peso's

They are definitely user-serviceable, but might require parts of tools that you may not access to. Be safe & take it to the shop -- it's pretty easy to fix.
