BC ...too big...problem?

I think fit is way too important to compromise on. Although my first BC was the right size, it never fit me properly and would ride up horribly on the surface, and my tank could make it rotate slightly side to side while diving. I can't even begin to tell you the impact getting the right fitting BC had on my diving...and comfort.

a BC that's too big will just suck forever. Or until you finally break down and get one that fits. If it hasn't been in the water don't see why you shouldn't be able to exchange for the correct size?

Personally, I have experienced over-sized BC before and it is pretty annoying. I would probably look for chances to sell them off and get a new one that fit properly.

I know I'm pretty new in scuba diving, but I just had that similar problem with my Oceanic Probe LX being too big. I was so eager to start my training dive that I went out and bought the new ProbeLX large size but toward the end of my open water test, I realize the BCD was getting bigger and bigger along with the wetsuit but my stomach was getting smaller. Since I have dropped down from 190 to 160 and so now it make sense to me to get a size Small BC along with a medium size wetsuit. Oh well, at least I rather be thinner then big.
