BC or BCD?

I see BC most often but I like to use BCD my fingers need the exercise in typing the extra letter.

Over here it's more often referred to as a BCD, and when I learned in Egypt everybody called it a BCD there too..., so it stuck...

The evil force, PadI added the "D" to diving equipment I do recall. It is redundant and silly.

My first instructor, Phillipe - used "BCD" but pronounced it with an unmistakable French accent - he was Swiss. It had to stuck.

And as Crowley says, in Egypt everyone calls it BCD and I do frequent those waters...

Nemrod is correct, BCD is agency specific.
