well I am another for the Backplate and wing, I have both and still dive both , matter of fact dove my Avid BC this last weekend, only because everytime I go with a group I am most of time only one with wing so took my BC, well I got out foxed this weekend one of the group had backplate and wing , any way most important thing is what your comfortable in , I feel overall the wing set up is more stream line . oh I use a dive rite back plate with Halcyon wing and DIR set up for harness, and it works great even with me diving steel 100"s . I should of brought it this last weekend when I was doing the dry suit thing oh well you learn and live .

What do you all dive with? I've been diving a SP Knighthawk for a couple years now and I'm switching to a BP/Wing setup for next season. I like the versatility and such. Tell me what you dive with.

I like my Seaquest Balance a lot. When single tank diving or travel weight is a consideration, it is my choice. I will even use it with my dry suit from time to time. It is simple and streamlined. Very similar to a bp & wing setup.

For doubles, BP & wing. No other choice as far as I am concerned. I have a couple of BP & wing setups and one has a single tank adapter. I like it a lot too.

I like the backplates because I can get weight out of my pockets. so.... If I had to pick one..... awwww it would be BP & wing.

I take it you are planning to dive doubles in the future? Sorry if you are already, I can't tell by what I read so far. I think that should be a big part of your choice. How do you dive.... it may sound like heresy to some but I do think they are too much trouble sometimes, especially if you are travelling and have to deal with the ever shrinking airline weight restrictions.

That is why I solved the issue by having both.:eyebrow:
