so the kermitest-de-frog friend of mine pings:

Hey Tevis,

I'd be more than happy to try out the oxycheq rig wednesday night! Please remember that I'd need to borrow your single reg setup also as I have an Atomic SS1 on my reg. I also have a HP119 that will need the adapter to hook your reg up. Do you have an extra weight belt too? If not, I'll just go rent one. As far as spring straps go, I'd need the ones on the right side, probably medium or large. I'm looking forward to trying out that setup!!!

Thanks,

Greg.

We would be tickled to get you fully outfitted in Oxycheq Battle Gear! And no worries, I have got you covered on a weight belt (please remember to bring weights) and the rig you are demoing is so utterly dialed in with ALL the bells and whistles (weighted single tank adapter, disco ball, built in bar). . .

OK not the disco ball and bar, tho' ev'rything else.

On the single reg setup, you will be diving a long hose and necklaced back up, so between Rick, myself and your experience the briefing will be short.

Greg prepare for effortless horizontal trim! I promise you will be impressed. And to sweeten the deal, if you want to do a second dive with my Halcyon rig, and third with Tobin's wing. . . so you can make a 'apples to apples' comparison of the flaws and innovation of each wing! We will have the equipment to do this.

Dear All, Greg is special, tho' if any Beach Crab wants the 'hands on' education in equipment, bouyancy and trim, we would be tickled to share it!:D

Then the most beautiful DD pings:

Tevis!! Can I get those springy thingy's for my fins?? :-) Jeff will be diving with you all Wednesday - I'll be at home doing the domesticated mommy thing... bummer...

Awwww shoot Mom, dont tell the Chaser, tho' I like your air consumpshun better;)

Of course we can put those dang springy things on your fins. The Beach Crab Special . . . find the lowest price for these schweet Innovative Fin Straps ANYWHERE, and we will discount them further another 18.25%, and then make a contribution to the ongoing administrative costs that our beloved and selfless Rickster comes out of pocket with. . . .

OK short story, measure your current fin straps from post to post, look at the above pictures to 'figure what posts you have, and then ping me at admin@k3scuba.com, and I will get them ordered up, then bring them to you at our NEXT beach dive, and install them. . . we are putting the "service" back in CUSTOMER SERVICE:D

My mentor, my dear friend, and my partner in crime writes:

I drove down the coast last night. The vis looked awesome and it looked like a lake out there. The santa ana's really laid things down. I hope it holds out for Wed.

Rick

Another perfect and drama free event you are putting together my compadre. Rick, thanks so much for having the foresight to put together a venue where new divers can learn from experienced divers in an inviting and fun atmosphere.

Where curmudgeons and mean peeople are not allowed.

As a chartermaster, I know the Hurculean effort that is expended to put these events together and you make it look seemless and effortless :14:

OK enough hijacking of your thread. Bless you my friend for what you do, and we are tickled to offer support in any way possible!

Then my most able and fun to dive with SpearMan writes:

Hey Tevis you going to pay me back that lobster you owe me?

You got it, and you know it most able and amazing 'Lobster Whisperer' Never in my vast experience of 2 months have I ever seen a diver pluck a lobster out of a kelp holdfast. I will definitely catch them. . . . if you will SHOW me where they are.

Cant wait for Wednesday night, the fun will be served up in SPADES!:D

And finally, the best part of Wednesday for me is. . . . . I get to dive with Rob!

Wishing everyone a great Tuesday!

Tevis

Tevis - your posts never disappoint in their entertainment value... I find myself amused after each reply!

I'll be sure to measure my fins and place my order ASAP!! I appreciate the amazing service!

Greg prepare for effortless horizontal trim! I promise you will be impressed.

You will be impressed; the BP/W is one of the best gear changes you can make. However, I've never heard of effortless horizontal trim. I know people that have spent many hours practicing in the pool and ocean to get horizontal trim. Every dive works towards effortless horizontal trim.

Nothing in diving is easy. Your first few times in the BP/W with long hose and bungee backup may be very intimidating. If you decide you want to go down this route and would like help it's out there - just ask.

You do my heart good! it is so nice to have the feminine touch amongst all of us trash talking, lie telling, sailor-esque guys.

Sometimes I just want to hug and talk about feelings:mooner:

it is a privilege to earn your business, and give me a call at the shop, 661 414 7577 or ping me at admin@k3scuba.com and we will get you fin strapped in!

Taking care of my Beach Crab Brethren and SISTREN!
