I currently Dive using a pony bottle most of the time. I would like to get rid of the octo on my main reg so I dont have 3 reg hoses to deal with, but I need the octo for when I dont use my pony. I am looking for an Octo that would work with the BC inflator. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Atomic Aquatics SS1 -- breathes as good as most primaries at depth. Love mine...

if you search 'air2', you'll come up with a million threads. it's a hot button topic, so some of them are really interesting!

all the ones i've tried are difficult to breath off of....we attempted to make the switch to lose a hose....but the difference in breathing is very noticeable.....tried an oceanic, and a scubapro, not sure of the models.....if they have multiples....

haven't tried the atomic though and i heard it was good.....

Atomic is very good. I used to have it on my Oceanic Probe LX until I got the Knighthawk/AIR2 combo. I would lean on the Atomic more because even Scubapro have just redesign their AIR2 almost like the Atomic.

Anyone have any intelligence on Zeagle's Octo-Z that is in the works? The design looks similar to the Atomic. Or any word on expected release date?

I have the Zeagle Octo+. It works very well. It breaths a bit harder than my primary, but that is hardly a surprise as most Octo's have a cracking pressure that is detuned so they don't free flow easily.

I'd highly recommend it even is some think it's the work of the devil! :light:

Keep in mind that most of these are designed to work with a dump valve on the shoulder. Mine has a string that goes through the inflater hose so when you lightly pull on the hose, you can dump air at the shoulder. This is likely not mandatory, but something to keep in mind.

The SEAQUEST Air Source is a good intergrated octo system. The older models can be found on ebay for between $25 and $60 most of the time. I have purchase three of them and have had very little trouble with either performance or service.
