hello everyone

i was using a 12v batterie in my canister light, but i change it for three 6v batterie to overrun my bulb.
can i still use my 12v 500ma charger? and if i do, how can i calculate the time i need to charge my three 6v pack.

thx
etienne

I think that simple math here will show that you won't get a full charge with a 12v charger trying to charge 18 volts worth of batteries.

Are you trying to obtain a full charge? (18 volts).

i dont really know how it work...

yes i was looking for a full charge, my question was in fact can i get a full 18v charge whit a 12v charger?

i guest the answer is no. well... if i dont get a full charge, the burn time will be sorter or the light will not be a full intensity?

what do you suggest in my case. does 18v charger existe?

What type of battery are they? Your best bet may be to use two chargers your 12v and another 6v.

Charging time ( Hrs ) = Battery capacity ( mAh) / Charging current
